Red Alert 3 Wins AIAS Strategy Game of the Year

Red Alert 3 has been named Strategy Game of the Year in the 12th Annual Interactive Achievement Awards. Here is the news from the Official C&C Site.

 

Last night at the 12th Annual Interactive Achievement Awards, Command & Conquer Red Alert 3 won the award for Best Strategy/Simulation Game of the Year by the Academy of Interactive Arts & Sciences. This is the 3rd time our EA Los Angeles RTS group has captured the award, previous winners were Command & Conquer 3: Tiberium Wars and Command & Conquer: Generals. This year’s competition included, Tom Clancy’s Endwar, Sid Meier’s Civilization Revolution, Sins of a Solar Empire and Advance Wars: Days of Ruin.

 

Our EA Los Angeles RTS team has been nominated a total of six times by the AIAS for strategy game of the year. In addition to the three wins noted above, we were also nominated in this category for Red Alert 2, The Battle for Middle-earth, and The Battle for Middle-earth II.

Never heard of them, but Congrats to EA.

 

Though the competition was rubbish, first one is a gimmick, next one is just dull, takes too long to play a game, and I've never heard of that one.

I remember these awards last time when C&C3 won. So congrats for defending the title. Here's hoping EALA can achieve a three-peat.
