Well, it has been confirmed that the Scrin wont be in C&C 4 (PC power play magazine)

 

"Scrin won't be playable, and the scrin story won't be further explored."

but, what about the OTHER alien race mentioned in TW? probably the race that sent the Tacitus to earth.

Do you think they will make any sort of appearance in C&C 4 ?

I think they will, in the end of the game just to leave a cliffhanger for C&C 5..

From what I get it's an other alien race that Scrin previously encountered. That may mean that Scrin won against them since Earth was next.

 

So no, I don't think this "other alien race" will play any part in C&C4. But it would be damn awesome.

Most probably the Scrin storyplot will be removed to concentrate more on the GDI and Nod stuff, and possibly that tower and LEGION.

I concur. There will probably be little or no information relating to the Scrin or any other alien races. Though we might see them in an expansion, or prequel or whatever EA has planned.

Actually the reason for the appearance of the Scrin is simple... just for that tower (portal). Always wanted to get in there and do the stargate thing.

I hope EALA could keep their promise to shed more light on them in a future expansion set. It's kinda funny to know that the overlord scrin wanted to do the "Earth will fall" and fail to deliver it because it got chickened out or something. So more Scrin engagement with Earth should be mandatory.

I love ot that the new game goes back to GDI and Nod interaction, but I hope there's a big expansion(s) that goes in depth with the scrin.
