Snow-covered structures

Recommended Posts

Ever since some news came out and shows screenshots of snowy environments. Do you want snow-covered structures?

Westwood did with theirs in the past and EA still failed it until RA3. Will C&C4 have it this time?

Lastly, even we didn't get to see any "Ask a developer" threads for months, we're expecting something. Even we did ask them in the past, oh they do read that question alright, but they did not answer it. Therefore it's quite of an insult (Small or big, depend on scale) when C&C3 until RA3 failed to have any snow-covered buildings.

Imagine C&C4's structures are still left de-iced when you're in the snow!

So therefore, do tell them about it, even encouraging APOC to think about it. Tell him to imagine the world is snowing BUT without actually get to see your houses or offices covered in snow!

EDIT : Lastly, speaking of that, I wonder if any other latest RTS which were released months ago or last year have any snow-covered structures, whether is your own military ones, civilian buildings & tech structures, etc..

If its possible for snow covered buildings why not? Somehow after looking at the high resolution snow terrain screenshot it felt like not much significant improvement then the one in Generals. Hope to see more polishing work done for this.

I also hope on that too, Generals' snow-covered buildings are ok, but the ones I remembered the best are RA2's followed up with TS'.

But still, the devs have to imagine RA2's Soviet Barracks which is completely dried and deployed in snow. That is completely unrealistic!

For C&C4, it's best that they end that universe with a big bang, not some poof of a little smoke.

besides that one main problem i notice in ALL SAGE/RNA games are that the building have no ground area surrunding them, like they did in cnc1 and red alert1. only the shadows, and that make the 3d models look like they are floating over the map! in order to feel that this building is actually grounded, there should be some sort of ground effect arround them, sand cracks what ever, but they dont.

about the snow, there is a good excuse: "there is so much production and work going in those buildings that their heat do not allow the snow to stay on top of them! it melts. ^_^ "
