Sonic 296 Posted November 22, 2009 For the past week I've been experiencing some lock up issues. They are intermittent, as in doesn't happen every time I use the computer but enough to be annoying. When it does happen its always after the system has been turned on and Windows has just booted. Everything locks up (freezes) and the only option I have is to kill the power and reboot. Once the system has loaded back into Windows the screen will go blank, refresh back to normal and then this pops up in the notification area.... Of course this gets logged in the Action Centre and it suggests obtaining an updated display driver. Already using the very latest from NVIDIA. It has to be a software/driver (obviously display driver related) issue because I had the exact same hardware running Vista 32bit and never had any issues. But lock ups/freezes can be RAM related as well from what I understand. Doctor Destiny 41 Posted November 23, 2009 http://www.google.com/#hl=en&source=hp...b7cf21b103219ea Could be so many things it's not even funny. I'd start by booting into Safe Mode, uninstalling the drivers, rebooting into Safe Mode again and then reinstalling them. I'd start with that. Could just be a driver hiccup.
