Command & Conquer 4 Previews Galore

Recommended Posts

There's plenty Command & Conquer 4 previews from various gaming sites and blogs from around the internet as may gaming journalist share their opinions of real first hand accounts of the single player game. So if your interested in reading through them all, here is a quick list to help you get started.

  • Giant Bomb Hands-on-Impressions

"Rather than just playing as some abstract commander, you'll play as a character with meaningful ties to the world--ties that are violently severed early on, presumably to give the player a little extra stake in how the story plays out."

  • G4 TV Hands-on-Impressions

"Speaking of battle, the game is looking good, and sounding even better. The soundtrack is killer too, which is especially appreciated when you’re charging into battle, because there’s nothing like a sweeping score to make you forget about how many troops you’re sending into certain death."

  • GameSpot - Updated Hands-On Single-Player Campaign

"Though C&C 4 makes a lot of changes to the series' formula, they all seem like really interesting new additions that add a lot of depth and replay value to the game"

  • Gay Gamer Hands on Impressions

After playing a bit through the campaign, I feel like the new direction of the game will give all players something new to experience and will turn the heads of some of the previous critics of the game.

  • Destructoid - Insight in to "no major actors"

"My time was short with Tiberian Twilight, but the new cinematic approach hooked me in pretty fast; I was actually shocked by one of the game's early story events."

  • Destructoid on C&C changing the traditional formula

"Just the feature of moving your main base anywhere on the map is such a fresh breath of air. It changes the dynamic of how you play an RTS, and cuts out a lot of the wasted time from bouncing back and forth to the main base. Old habits do die hard, though, and I found myself constantly forgetting that I didn't have to keep the base in just one place."

  • Mercury News - C&C 4 is a genre blender

"The EA Los Angeles title grabs elements of role-playing games, mass multiplayer online games and first-person shooters to create something new."
