Still absolute rubbish...

The better the game... the more popular it is... the more likely people will pirate it.... regardless of socio-economic circumstances or geographical location or any other motivation you care to state.

 

Or to put it another way...

The better the game... the more people will buy it... AND... pirate it.

You can't deny that the better the game is, the bigger the chance is that people will actually wan't to own a legal copy of it.

 

I have been to a lot of LAN parties and I have to say that I've met some pretty hardcore software pirates. A thing they had in common is this opinion: "I only buy games that I know is original, has a good replay value and is well worth the money in quality". And it definitely makes good sense to me, except that I don't torrent the game if it's not.

Do you know of any particular titles that those hardcore pirates bought and would swear by? (Wondering if there is any sort of correlation.)
