Lion Says Goodbye

Recommended Posts

Possibly, same case for me too. C&C4 started many problems among us and broke too many hardcore fans' hearts (No matter if they're EA or Westwood fans). I'm not really sure if he will come back as a former staff like Saracen. If Jon Van do give us a good game, will he come back? I can't tell until time arrives.

C&C 4 never broke my heart, because I've never played it, neither (after fan opinion) will I ever play it. Plus I hardly ever come back and settle down here. I'll pop my head around the corner perhaps and say the odd word. But the whole C&C gaming aspect, I don't do it any more. The only thing you may catch me playing now and again is a bit of Sins of a Solar Empire on my PC. And with my PS3 now out of action, I have a much more fun time getting out in the sun and air, and joining real physical communities in the world of RC aircraft... it kicks gaming's ass every time!!

Unfortunate to see Lion go. But I can imagine his mindset has very much changed like mine. You can't put a single finger down on a particular problem. But when you spend so much of your life in a community like this, it kinda comes to a point where something clicks. When that click happens, you take a few steps back and think "What am I doing?"..... You realise that you've become a machine in something that you once enjoyed, but more recently, do it out of routine and nothing more. You realise importance, priorities, and the fact that there are bigger and better things out there.

No disrespect to Sonic, but deciding to leave this site and the community was one of the best things I have ever done. I originally tried to deny it and set up JetSector to follow Jet Set Games Inc... but after a short while, I realised I was kidding myself. I shouldn't be doing the whole webmaster thing. I'm married, I have friends, and there's a world of stuff still to be explored. So F this, I'm going to live my life, cos it's too friggin short to be sat in front of a PC during precious spare time!

You pretty much hit the nail on the head here. I couldn't agree more with this.

Current or past, I think most community members appreciate the work you guys have put into what you do/did. We've all benefited in more ways than one, whether everyone admits is or not.

With that said, I really hope Sonic doesn't plan on leaving anytime soon. I enjoy this place. :)
