Return of Classic Tiberium in The Forgotten

Recommended Posts

With only two days to go until it's big and highly anticipated release. The C&C Labs Mod Development Team in charge of The Forgotten mod has just shown off one of the most impressive support powers, the Blossom tree which provides a secondary source of income for The Forgotten. The Blossom Tree grows classic Tiberium which is worth less than the modern Tiberium but it re-grows faster. The model and the texture of these trees were designed by Tsumetai. Take a look.

Hell yeah! What a creative way to combine the best of both Westwood & EALA worlds. :D Nice job!

I'd say retcon EA's tiberium altogether, it's in the spirit of EA style fluff anyway, EA fluff always contradicts itself.

Simply put, EA's tiberium was a bad entertainment decision, doesn't matter how well the transition from enigmatic interesting tiberium to brainlessly boring kryptonite tiberium is explained, it's still bad entertainment.

Wow couple days till this releases? Need to get cracking on installing C&C 3 again. This should keep me busy till Dead Rising 2 and Two Worlds 2.

They were just trying to emulate SC crystals, of course this backfired really bad, so the best they could do was to reduce the size of the crystals, but, remember the guys only had 11 months to make a game from scratch, so you may not expect some details to be corrected.

Perhaps so, guys, after all, EALA already done quite a huge damage ever since C&C3 came out, by the removal of the veinhole monster & the blossom trees, it created questions which we took it lightly last time, but after C&C4 came out, it just went down even worse. Luckily this mod hopefully it'll calm us down.
