Soldier5689 0 Posted February 28, 2011 How do you change the game's text language? Like on the text descriptions and names on things. BTW this refers to C&C ZH. Share this post Link to post
Plok 327 Posted February 28, 2011 (edited) That's easy. Open XCC Mixer. Then, go to the Launch bar, then XCC String Table Editor, and then Generals Zero Hour. You will now see string categories to the left and a big list of the strings in the selected category to the right. If you want to edit a string, you can click on it and then click on the Edit button to the bottom of the window. In the Edit window, you must change the text in the second box from above only (if we count the first one which is darkened). Click OK when done with the specific string. When you are done with the overall editing of strings, or are just tired of it, click OK. The strings will now be saved and you will see them ingame the next time you start ZH. Nyerguds 102 Posted February 28, 2011 If you mean, like, switching the entire game to French or German or something like that, I don't think Generals has specific functions for that. I think C&C3 was the first game which had inbuilt multi-language support. So yeah, the only way to do it is just editing the strings, as Plokite_Wolf said. Share this post Link to post
Plok 327 Posted February 28, 2011 Actually, the only problem here is that it's time-consuming and you have quite a bit of strings to translate Share this post Link to post
