I'm not sure why you showed one of the boring tiny artsy mostly-silent films intended for the unit manual update, the two big ones were much more exciting emot-v.gif

The first one was more UT3 than APB, and I thought that the Guard Duty update was a regular short showing a random tank firing, as usual. Sorry.

Well if people want to see more, they will follow the link for the update. In other words it pushes traffic to the APB site Chronojam ;)

Sorry about that, but we decided to push the real story up instead. ;)

Suspicious why the lighting effects suddenly looked so good in the other video? Have you also been suspicious why we keep showing the same footage (more or less) of maps like Guard Duty and To The Core over and over for the past months? Just kidding, April Fool's! That's not Gamma at all. Because of continued delays and mismanagement over at Tiberian Technologies, we've moved APB to the free UDK platform in a process that began roughly two years ago.

Still, be sure to get yourself set up over at Desura! We've got everything cleared with Electronic Arts once again (Victory Games is looking super promising) and we're on schedule for a July 2011 release of Red Alert: Frontlines (RAF). It's still unclear if we'll keep 'A Path Beyond' as a subtitle, but "Command & Conquer: Red Alert: A Path Beyond: Frontlines" is really a bit too long

So if I got this right, you're switching the engine from Renegade to Unreal Tournament 3???

QUOTE (Chronojam @ APB Forums @ Monday 1st April 2011 6:52 PM)

Mmmm, I better go post a new blog to reassure people and clarify reality. Right now I'm waiting on a slightly modified server/client executable pair, then we're uploading Gamma to the new download system, Desura. Once that's configured and we're satisfied with the results of all the testing, we'll make that public.

It was a fun hoax.
