Click on the image previews to see what happens in IE8 or Chrome.... What to do? The video collides with the pictures when they're magnified in the lightbox. How to edit that? dbjs2009 25 Posted April 26, 2011 Yeah, it seems like all the magnified images using the lightbox code to be collided with other youtube videos around here. Anyway I've changed the video and it seems to be working perfectly now. It's been reported. Share this post Link to post
Plok 336 Posted April 26, 2011 Then we mustn't use Youtube and pics in the same article until the problem is solved. The Infantry Battle Vehicle has caught my attention... Share this post Link to post

Allied129 0 Posted April 27, 2011 Then there is a problem with IE8 and the browser dbjs2009 uses. Seems to happen with Google Chrome as well, just tested it out and indeed the video loves to stay on top of the pictures. Share this post Link to post

Plok 336 Posted April 27, 2011 Strangely enough, videos on ModDB don't collide with images. dbjs2009 fixed that in the original post, and some wise guy returned the YouTube one. Share this post Link to post
Sonic 302 Posted April 27, 2011 So I think I've narrowed down what is causing the issue. I can confirm it only affects IE8 and Chrome. Firefox 4 and IE9 are fine. The problem is with the YouTube code, well more like how IE8 and Chrome process the code. A few months a go I updated the embed code here on the forums to use YouTube's new IFRAME code, as opposed to the old OBJECT code. The new IFRAME code is better but as we causes a conflict with Lightbox images. I don't have a solution to correct the YouTube IFRAME code just yet. If it were the old YouTube OBJECT code I could fix it easily, well there wouldn't be anything to fix. So until its solved the only thing to do is not embed a YouTube video and Lightbox image in the same news update. Share this post Link to post
Nyerguds 104 Posted April 27, 2011 Well, in Opera (v11.00), the underlying playing video just turns completely black when looking at a pic. Which is just fine; if you're looking at the pic you're not looking at the vid anyway. Share this post Link to post
