Saracen 16 Posted June 19, 2004 OK here's an interesting one, i dug into my MP3 collection and found a little gem..... so here's what I'm asking..... What would favourably be your piece of music to sum up and creat the atmosphere of the end of a war and it's aftermath. A song or tune to refelct on the death and destruction, and the sheer pain and suffering that war causes... I'll take the best and my own personal choice which is Barber's "Adadgio for strings" For those who are not into classical music (i aint but i love this classical piece)... you can also hear this music in the short, final scene and into the final credits in the classic film "Platoon" where Charlie Sheen is taken away in the helicopter.... So how about you guys? Have I summed up the perfect song for the aftermath of a battle or war? Or do you have better suggestions??? Share this post Link to post
Luk3us 63 Posted June 19, 2004 Anything that has a guitar in it. Not a fan of classic stuff.... Share this post Link to post
Sonic 296 Posted June 19, 2004 For my own personal taste I like to hear rock music from any era. The song that comes to mind is Paint it Black, it was used as the theme to an old TV show called Tour of Duty. The show was about a platoon of US soldiers set in 1968 based in Vietnam.
