KevinLancaster 1 Posted July 4, 2011 (edited) According to the manual, the Medium Tank is supposed to be "heavier, faster, and more destructive than Nod's Light Tank". However, it later says that the Light Tank is "Faster than any other tank on the battlefield." It also says that the Buggy is "Faster than GDI’s Hum-vee, the Buggy has sacrificed some armor for this advantage," and that it's available at Tech Level 3. But if I go into TibEd, the default settings have the Medium and the Light at the same speed and armour level, and the Buggy with the same speed and armour as the Hum-vee. Also the aircraft stats seem to be completely off. Lastly, the Chain Link Fence and the Sandbags seem to have the exact same stats, with the Chain Link Fence costing more. So have the stat differences that supposedly existed between these things ever actually existed? Were they changed through the various patches the game has gotten over the years because of balance issues or something? EDIT: Just tested the difference between the Sandbags and Chain Link Fence in game and the Chain Link Fence is somehow stronger despite having the same stats. How was that managed? However, I still think my question of whether or not the manual has ever been completely accurate on the units and structures of Tiberian Dawn still stands. Nyerguds 100 Posted July 8, 2011 Unit descriptions were probably not written from a game behaviour point of view, but just about the existing units they were based on. As for the fence types, that's a whole lot of exceptions. Fences are actually a kind of overlay (like tiberium and crates) which acts as a building. The differences in behaviour is related to the settings of the overlay objects, which are not editable in TibEd. Share this post Link to post
