Golden Oldie Remakes

Should Retro Games be Remade? Or should they be left preserved as one time masterpieces?

    • Remake them! - It'd be cool to see a modern version!

    • Nooooo! - Leave Them Alone, they're sacred pieces of artistic programming!

    • Remake them, but include the Retro version, so we can have a blast from the past!

OK simple as it sounds, we've all seem films been remade.. like Ocean's 11, and the Italian Job and we've seen certain games get a spruce up... Titles include:

Dune: Battle for Arrakis = Dune 2000

Castle Wolfenstein = Return to Castle Wolfenstein

C&C: TD = RV Mech's Gold blend (ok it was a mod but you see what i mean)

Pacman = Pacman PS2

R-type = R-Type PS2

Pitfall = Pitfall: The lost expedition PS2

What I want to know is what classic old Retro games would you like to see remade into modern day quilivents with all the modern graphics and sounds, but with the original tucked in there somewhere?

I think its ok to remake them, including the original classic version with it is good idea, such as Ninja Gaiden on XBox. It has the original 3 versions hidden in the game to unlocked.

Nope they shouldn't remake old games... Leave em' alone I say...

That goes for movies too..... Leave em' alone.

Better to have something new and oringial than a re re release of a old popular game and squeeze all the money out of it... Till noone likes it any more...
