Kane's Wrath Modding - Wrath Ed Demo 0.5 Released

Work continues on bringing modding support to Kane's Wrath with some community made unofficial mod tools. Just a couple of days ago, Thundermods.net released Wrath Ed Demo 0.5, a demo version of the Kane's Wrath Mod SDK, Wrath Ed. This release only contains the map compiler with limited features.

 

A tutorial is available for those interested in getting started. You can download the tool from Thundermods.net or from Mod DB.

A mod SDK for Kane's Wrath would be wonderful, particularly one to update the AI and decreased the refinery's value to make it competitive again, also, it would be great to fix some of the visual issues at the game.

It will be possible once the whole toolset is done, but not with the current release since it's a map compiler for changing basic mapping stuff.

From what I know we will get a full version this year!

Here is a small video to show a mission map test with weather effects for KW:

 

The test map was done with version 0.6.1 we released yesterday.

Updated the SDK to 0.7. Grab it here or wait for ModDB to active the download.

 

Maps compiled with this version will have about the same file size as Tiberium Wars mod maps compiled with the official SDK.
