Bluehell Productions Takes Over CnC Reborn

Bluehell Productions have announced that they have now officially taken over the development of the CnC Reborn mod for Renegade. And from this point on it has a new name, "Tiberian Sun Reborn". Here's the full announcement made by Chronojam a short time ago.

 

 

Welcome to the new home of Tiberian Sun Reborn, a project formerly known in another place and another lifetime as C&C Reborn. Casting aside earlier baggage and moving forward with proven concepts is our goal here; obscure invented mutants that hardly meshed with canon are gone, cloaking snipers are a thing of the past, and every man/woman/child will no longer be a demolitions expert. Joining the Bluehell Productions team are DarkAngel, Exdeath, and Renardin, all formerly of the C&C Reborn project. Coming along with them are plenty of underutilized assets and creativity.

 

Wallywood will be handling day-to-day operations for TS: Reborn, and has just posted the first dev blog that you should go take a look at. We'll be discussing everything more later, too, of course.

 

As for the site, it's fully functional, although there are some layout changes I'd like to make and some of the old sections will be added back, plus we'll put the live server listings on this front page as well. Site, forum, and launcher news (blue, white, and gold) also all appear here, although you can filter based on a single one if you push "news" up top. Scroll down and look to the right for live Teamspeak status; IRC and in-game status are mostly done, just need final testing. The fact you need to scroll down to see that is why there are some layout changes coming. Testing is being revised too for all of our projects. More news on that later, go read the first TS:Reborn dev blog! We'll be bringing ModDB/Facebook/Twitter up to date shortly.

I just hope for everyone's sake this doesn't turn into Reborn v APB flamewar as they discuss changes... ala EA v Westwood fanboy threads when C&C3 came out.
