Recruitments Required - Join the CNCNZ.com Articles Team

Recommended Posts

It's time to put this call out once again. We have a rather large Articles section here at CNCNZ.com. But there is one problem: we have no regular feature article writers to contribute to it. We are now on the hunt for anyone with a "flair" for creative writing to join the CNCNZ.com staff and become part of the new Articles Team.

People who would be interested should obviously enjoy writing, and be a Command & Conquer fan, of course. We are searching for people to write articles covering a wide range of subjects, looking at the issues in our community, modding tutorials, discussing strategies and guides for improving your C&C online skills and more. As an article writer, you will be in charge of coming up with fresh ideas for new articles that you think other C&C fans would be interested in reading. Have a look back through our past articles to see what former staff have come up with.

There are a few small requirements:

  • Follow our pre-designed template
  • At least one article submission per month
  • Correct spelling and grammar
  • Basic understanding of HTML will help, but is not necessary
  • Professionally presented articles

Anyone interested in joining the CNCNZ.com staff as a feature article writer can simply post a reply in this news thread and we will take it from there. There are hidden perks and benefits to being on the CNCNZ.com team, to find out what they are.... well, you'll just have join us and contribute.

@Sonic:

If you want a troll (see here) in your team then you should take Dreamcaseal. lol

You should have said that Dreamcaseal is also known as Shortbus, so others will know why.

That's a rumor that I'm Shortbus. There is no documented evidence of said claim. For example, many have said Shortbus died 3 years ago.

I don't have a professional article to present, but I'm definitely interested. :)

Good to some legitimate interest here. NODSOLDIERGIRL and Jehal, do you both think you fit the requirements listed above?

Also note, article submissions don't have to be "professional", just well written and presented.

I believe I live up to the requirements and have the ability to write a well presented article. I'm ready to give it a shot.

Sorry for not following this up sooner.

The team here have been discussing this privately and we have decided that rather than bring people in to form a dedicate articles team will be introducing a system where anyone can write and submit articles. Think of it like freelance or contributing writer system.

So you will be able to write articles, get them published on our site. After about 5-10 regular submission we will then look at the option of adding you to our team in a more official capacity.

Look for more on this new idea and direction soon.

I had a "give it shot" approach to this, so 5-10 seems like a lot of work. I'm no longer interested in this. Nevermind ;)

Hey, there's no need to drop out, we'd still love individual articles by anyone who is willing to submit them. We were just clarifying on what makes up the article "team," so to speak.

If you'd like to give it a shot at writing an article, even if it is just one, by all means, we'd love to have it, and add it to our articles section on CNCNZ.

You will still be able to submit an article at any pace or time frame that suits you best. We are not asking for 5-10 in a short space of time. The objective here is find more people to help bolster the articles section rather than have a dedicated team with some deadlines set in place. Hence the words freelance and contributing... its like work at your own pace.

Why are doing it this way? Well simple really. In the past when we added people to out team they get officially set up and then never do anything, no contributions, zero input. This has been going on for years. Its time to change this.
