PurpleGaga27 40 Posted November 16, 2012 (edited) 2011 was the year of some great sequels but this year has some of the epic games and sequels overrated. With Resident Evil 6, COD Black Ops 2, Mass Effect 3, Diablo III and WoW: Mists of Pandora being the most overrated games of this year, there's no other epic game worthy to be game of the year. Halo 4, Max Payne 3, Borderlands 2, Guild Wars 2, XCOM Enemy Unknown and Counterstrike Global Offensive are good games for this year, but neither one of them is quite enough to call it a game of the year. This 2012 game of the year might be coming from Moddb, where the remake of an epic game that had millions overjoyed, and I say Black Mesa, one of the best freeware games ever made that doesn't require Half-Life 2. Although that game isn't entirely finished yet, a couple of years later it soon will be. The gameplay is more stunning than any single COD game. What game do you think shall be a 2012 game of the year? Edited November 16, 2012 by zocom7 Share this post Link to post
Luk3us 63 Posted November 16, 2012 I haven't played any games this year that I'd personally consider to be GOTY. Hell the two games I still consistently play are Skyirm and BF3 and they both came out last year. AND I haven't played a good RTS since Starcraft II! That was TWO YEARS AGO! Doctor Destiny 41 Posted November 17, 2012 Borderlands 2. Black Ops 2 and Halo 4 can eat a dick. Share this post Link to post
Luk3us 63 Posted November 17, 2012 I heard Black Ops 2 lets you make actual choices that change the way the game plays.... They made a Call of Duty game that isn't entirely linear! The world is near its end. Share this post Link to post
Malovolpe 3 Posted November 18, 2012 Game of the year should be XCOM Enemy Unknown. Because I love it. Share this post Link to post
