Will we ever run out of new music?

Recommended Posts

Based from this video of the same title:

IMO to answer this question, yes, because of copyrighting which I believe why music is dying. Instead of new music, most of them wind up with cover music, ripping off music without permission (gotta watch out for those), and more rap and hip hop talk. In the 1980s and early 1990s, rap and hip hop fit just right, but no longer at this present time.

78,364,164,096 does not round off to 79 billion.

He doesn't seem to be aware of the fact that a lot of melodies were intentionally copied into different lyrics a long time ago as the lyrics were less important than the melodies back then, leaving us with multiple songs with the same music now (he should have pointed it out if he was).

He also makes a big deal about the poetic rhythm, implying that it is commonly used because it appeals to the brain rather than acknowledge it for what it is; a specific writing style. You wouldn't write a haiku with 20 morae, not because it wouldn't appeal to the brain, but because then it wouldn't be a haiku.

This is a lot of blah blah blah with some calculations he got from others because he apparently couldn't do them himself followed by some obvious conclusions.
