hmm...the C&C universe is another parallel realm

but not everything's different from our world

many things have changed or didn't occur, but some were identical to our universe, cause they were independant of the death of Hitler

 

and it was during the gulf war that the secret organisation (at that time called: Operations Group Echo, Black Ops 9, and now GDI), was exposed

 

but that's my theorie...

I believe that Operations Group Echo, Black Ops 9

interfered to support Iran against the attacks of Irak

 

they bombarded military bases, factories and weapon depots in Irak and Koeweit

 

after that the ground offensive started -> this ended in the defeat of saddam

 

and as a result revealing their existence
