PurpleGaga27 37 Posted November 18, 2016 Well I know how to add it but the problem is the search words in those sites don't lead to the results page(s) such as: twitter.com youtube.com startpage.com ...they just lead to home sites instead. Browsers such as Firefox, Chrome and even Palemoon has addable search engine sites that lead to them and install them automatically. Opera doesn't do that and that sucks. This is one of those Opera drawbacks. Even Opera doesn't even list what the search engine link really is for the default ones. Share this post Link to post
PurpleGaga27 37 Posted November 27, 2016 No answer? The closest search engine I tried to add to Opera is YouTube but still doesn't work after typing a word in the address bar: http://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=%s&search_type=&aq=f Share this post Link to post
Sonic 292 Posted November 28, 2016 Why do you need to "add" a search engine to the browser, is it that difficult to simply go to https://www.google.com ? Or you could just follow this http://www.opera.com/blogs/news/2014/10/how-to-add-search-engine-to-opera-for-computers/ Guess what, I found that by searching Google Share this post Link to post
PurpleGaga27 37 Posted November 28, 2016 (edited) I went to that link before. I knew how to do it but Opera should have given away the search engine links that do work. The technical problem is that some of them don't work for me, and I have some extensions installed but those have nothing to do with it. Even I tried to get help inside Opera's forums. http://forums.opera.com/discussion/comment/15254229#Comment_15254229 Edited November 28, 2016 by PurpleGaga27 Share this post Link to post
