Plok 316 Posted June 2, 2017 http://blog.evolvehq.com/2017/06/going-way-dodo/ A sad sight to behold, another good LAN emulator shutting down. Share this post Link to post
Plok 316 Posted June 29, 2017 https://blog.evolvehq.com/2017/06/dodo-meet-phoenix-evolve-rises-ashes/ Someone bought Evolve, and things are restored. Good time too, as I've checked what other LAN emulators look like nowadays, and they suuuuuuck (primarily the shady ad-ridden Tunngle). Share this post Link to post
Guest Rabbit Posted June 30, 2017 It would be real nice if someone would create an open-source system that requires no third party tunneling. Like if you just run some program, host a "server" on your PC, and everyone else with the program can enter your IP and connect directly, so it would be like tunneling without needing to connect via a third party server. This would significantly reduce the load on these external services, as they would literally just have to host a download instead of a full connection service. Share this post Link to post
Plok 316 Posted June 30, 2017 Indeed, and it would prevent closures due to a sudden dip in popularity because Steamworks iz da best guise. Share this post Link to post
