network game map problems can u help?

you folks here seem to know your stuff and are very helpful so heres one for you and i hope you can help me figure it out, downloaded a map call area 51 looks real good droped it into my docs ect ect were its suposed to go , also installed the same map on buddies cpu ,(this is at work on our network)when we go to play zero hour says the other cpu does not have the map (lies! we see it there!) so it says will download off host cpu so it shows the download bar and then it says preparing and does this for 2 mins and then fails to sart ... idont get it why this is happing so we tried another map ... same **** so we turned of firewall shared c: my docs zero hour data maps and still no go .. sowhat am i missing we want to play some of these great maps but this seems to be holding us back . any help would be great thanks in advance :roll:

is the firewall a software one on your computer, coming to think of it a firewall shouldn't matter if your on a LAN. and the srahing of that folder shouldn't matter either.

 

what game and version and whats your OS.

xp home ser pac 2 and im not sure of the zero hour ver # but it was updated a few days ago

 

firewall is softwear standard xp stuff this has just got me head scratchen :?:

Make sure both computers are patched to Zero Hour v1.02. Grab it from http://www.cncnz.com/files/zero_hour/patches.shtml

 

Also check that your actually extracting the map to the right folder as well. It should be My DocumentsCommand and Conquer Generals Zero Hour DataArea51.

thanks that was it to many folders one inside the other with the same name Duh! thanks agian
