Tib Sun/RA2 online problems

hi all, in a newbie to the forum and woundering if anyone can help. i have C&C Tiberian Sun and Red alert 2 installed in my computer, running windows xp, everytime i play online, i can join a game and play, but when i win or loss, the game ends obviously and it come up with reconnecting to lobby, but it never does, i then get an error message saying dissconnected from westwood, so i exit the game, but not only does it dissconnect me from the game, it also screws up my internet setting, and i have to reboot to get back on line.

 

im running it on a presario x1010 compaq laptop, and the internet if a 1mb connection shared in a network.

 

if anyone can help please do

http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com/ go there and get updates, more specifically the driver updates

i have already tryed that, laptop has just been re-installed and updated to the max

Could be WOL being all crappy as usual I guess. You could always try playing on XWIS, check this thread http://forums.cncnz.com/viewtopic.php?t=1513 for more details.
