TibEd won't let me save anything

It says that I am out of memory. This is obviously not true. I tried closing down other programs but nothing changeded. Any suggestions?

I presume you are using Tibed 1.6 under Windows 98 or ME. The problem theres is that it only has a limited number of resouces ('windows') available and TibEd 1.x needs a lot of them. So, if you try closing down lots of programs in the tray (bottom-right) that should free up some resources.

Windows 2000/XP do not suffer from this limit.

This is a new one for me.

I suggest running the Windows task manager (Start button, then "Run" and enter "taskmgr" there to start it) and have a look at the third tab page: how is the memory usage of Windows there?

 

Something which might solve this: go to the TibEd File menu, then Preferences and look for compression of saved file: try to turn it off. Does it work if you turn file compression off?
