They are the weirdiest thing I've ever met on the internet. (Well techniqually I didn't find it. It came up in my course work but yeah...)

 

Basically the idea behind a wiki is that ANY body can edit it. Yes ANYONE.

 

That means that any 8 year old moron who can't spell or read well can edit pages..

 

The funny thing is that these things seem to do very well. I'd of thought that these sorts of things wouldn't surivive a week. (like our class experiment But apparently they do...

I can never find anything in a Wiki... unless I come there to the right place immediately through Google.

Yup, whenever I'm searching for something I always type in "<THING IM LOOKING UP> Wikipedia" and that usually gets me the right result

so how come it hasnt been in widesperad use because ive never heard of a wiki b4 until i came here
