Generals won't run!

ok. here is the rundown:

 

1.Installed Generals

2. Inserted CD 1

3. Double-clicked shortcut

4. Generals startup image shows

5. Image goes away, and nothing happeneds!

 

The game wont run! its been like this for a year! it worked when i firts bought it, but now it won't work! help pls!

We need some more information; what are your specs, what OS are you using etc.

Be sure you've got the latest drivers for your graophics card and sound card.

try going into your Cd drive from MY Computer and running it from there
