1 bad situation

hi, i have installed C&C Generals but dunno what version it is since i dont see anywhere in game where it says that... and when trying to play mod, tibed2 b3 says it only works with game version 1.4 and that mod probably wont work... and indeed it doesnt... anything i changed like it doesnt matter

 

so i ask why doesnt tibed support older versions ?

 

and i downloaded 1.7 patch from ftp.ea.com but it says that no updates needed since file does not match (it stops on game.dat)... uhh whatz this ?

 

i so much want to use modifications and cannot update game so tibed works

now i am downloading 1.02 patch but doubt that tibed will work on that...

any ehm help or advice would be nice...

Sounds like you are using a cracked version of generals. The patch wont update the cracked version of the game.

 

You have to install the game then apply the patch to 1.07 then use your crack.

i did then it wont even start the game

it just "idle" or freezes my pc

and it sux soo much, i want to edit many things but cant

and nooo i did not bought it from pirates, (my friend gave it to me)

so i dont want some comments like "thatz what you get when you use pirated soft"... for info i dont have money to buy every single original game and i got this one last week altho i see it was made in 2003 (thatz sad lol)

 

anyway some suggestions (if any) would be nice

oke, i know i am boring but ....

how about this... is there any good soul that could send me generals.exe and generals.dat and game.dat that is on 1.07 version of game to this mail:

[email protected] ... yeah i know itz more than 6MB thatz why i said "a good soul" and i think yahoo gives 100 MB space so it wouldnt be hard for me to dl it... well thatz all
