RA2 online crashes and instantly quits when i get in2 lobby

Hi

 

Installed ra2 (after years of not playing) a few days ago. First day I played four matches fine. Second day i join, get into lobby, and then the whole program just quits and dissappears before i can click on anything. Just the second i get into lobby into usa command or something. I cant change channel, cant join/create a game, it just quits.

 

I tried again a while after and it worked.

 

Now today ive tried like 10 times and it does the same thing every time.

 

anyone have any ideas on how to remedy this?

um some1 else may say wot the prob is but try contacting ea and let them know the prob ur having

Can't say I've heard of this one before. Have you tried re-installing RA2?

run the game in compatibility mode for windows 98.

I`m also experiencing on this problem. Once joining in the lobby, my yr quit.... is it i hv been banned from WOL? Or shall we reinstall this games?

YO this happens to me 2 sometimes. After I finish a game and join the lobby it quits instantly and I try to connect again but I cant!!!

Ok, i just spent an hour looking for this kind of topic with exactly the same problem as me. And i also registered JUST to write this lol.

 

So PLEASE somebody help me out, i see this topic is quite outdated so either all the people fixed there probs or they gave up >_<.

 

But if anyone out there knows how to fix this problem it would be a great help, I have got a perfectly legal version of Red Alert 2 that ive been using since it came out. I recently (2days ago) reinstalled Ra2 because my bro came bk home nd wanted a game, so i played with him for awhile, then did the next day. But TODAY whenever i go into Custom Match it instantly quits outta game when i get in there :'(

 

Quick match works btw (i owned someone )

 

Anyways, get bk ASAP.

see, this is not an error of any kind, it's just an idiot sitting in the lobby with an IRC script which kicks people whenever they join the lobby. you can still play a quick game, but if you want to play a custom match, then you're just gonna have to wait until that person leaves

P.S Whoever it is, they stopped doing it about 2 days after i posted my post, so its all good. Oh, and as of Tonight, these very nice G4Bot people are now on hand with cheaters etc, and i dont think their even part of EA / Westwood.

i get this problem too but, i fix it by running 'Spybot S&D' about 3-4 times after i run it to get the game to work , it's prob all those bugs and worms in the servers(how they get there i have no idea) :x
