Assault Helix problem

Recommended Posts

hi, everyone

i just brought the game last week and started playing online 2 days ago. Infantry General Fai is my favourite guy so far, and what i learn online is i can rush with a helix full of tank hunters and 2 gattling gunners, and this rush tactic seem to work most of the time.

however, what i found annoying is that sometime when i order the assault helix to attack an anti-air tank( or ground unit/building ), the helix will only attack with its own gun, and the tank hunters inside would not attack. Even if i force fire at the gattling tank, the helix would just fly in range and start attacking with its machine gun. then it got shoot down..... because it cant kill as fast as it can.

can anyone help me here? am i missing something, or it is a bug.

also, if the enemy tanks group consist of 2 battlemaster tank and a gattling tank , the assault helix will still kill the 2 battle master tanks first, before it attack the gattling tank. isnt this unreasonable for a airbrone unit to not attack an anti-air units first?

1: Just move the Helix closer so the tank hunters are in range.

2: I don't know.

I have this problem sometimes as well, and find that clicking on your target again will unleash the Tank Hunters as well. I suppose you simply leave your Helixs as is with the other problem you face against numerous tanks. You will have to select the specific target you want otherwise your units will go after otherwise they will just attack anything. The computer does the same...Black Lotus will capture a Barrecks instead of a superweapon for example.

I have noticed that tank hunters inside a Helix cannot fire straight down (seems logical to me) so when a Helix is directly overhead an enemy vehicle the tank hunters cannot fire at it (or the have to shoot through the floor of the Helix, which would make a mess of things :))

Moving the Helix out of the way will make the tank hunters fire.
