Luk3us 63 Posted March 5, 2005 Your ISP deals with handing out IP's. Unless they supply you with different addresses you can't change it. Share this post Link to post
GeneralZ 0 Posted March 5, 2005 Its called Verizon DSL. And I use IE. I occasionally use AOL. Verizon's is 1 of the major phone companies in the US, controling the entire northeastern side of US, The major phone companies are divided into regions of the US. My computer says my IP is assigned by DHCP. What is DHCP? Share this post Link to post
Luk3us 63 Posted March 6, 2005 Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol. Its what your ISP uses to hand out IPs. Share this post Link to post
Sonic 295 Posted March 6, 2005 What you need to do is stop using IE, its a spam magnet! Install Firefox. Also install a firewall program, ZoneAlarm free edition will do. Share this post Link to post

Tree 0 Posted March 6, 2005 The only way i know of to get a dynamic IP is to get dial-up internet. It connects you to a different IP each time. Share this post Link to post
