NEED HELP!! RENEGADE WONT INSTALL!!

Every time I start installing. when the setup screen pops up It says setup has encounterred an error.

I used to get that too... Maybe try installing it do a different directory. I forget how I pulled it off I havent touched Renegade for about 6 Months, Sorry, wish I could be more of a help. Try posting it in the CNCNZ game help forum area, they may be able to help.

I'm having the same problem. I get an error when click 'install' on the autplay menu:

 

setup.exe has generated errors and will be closed by windows. you will need to restart the program. an error log is being created.

 

I've stopped all the programs running in the background, tried running the install from a folder on the local drive in which I copied all CD files, and even tried from safemode. I get the same error every time.

I'm having a similar proplem. I try to play renegade online, and it says the WOL portion has an error and says to reinstall it. So i reinstall and I still get the error.If anyone has any idea whatis going on please help.

Same thing happend here, Its your cd. I just installed it on my pc with my friends Renegade cd, so if you have a friend that has it just install it with his because you probably will be able to play it just not install it with your cd, or you could buy a new one. GOOD LUCK!

I get the same thing... cabinet file error or some crap. Only on my old compaq, though. The Dell and the HP do just fine.

 

Try a different computer.

Check the CD... Maybe it's damaged... If damaged, try burning it to another disk and do not use two drives for copying and burning, use only one drive e.g. you copy from drive E, you burn with drive E also... To avoid burning halfway only to find out that it really can't be burned, cause that will force you to throw one good disk away...
