Schapelle Corby

Recommended Posts

A scary twist in the case had occured. The Indonesian embassy in Canberra, Australia, was mailed what appears to be anthrax.

http://news.scotsman.com/latest.cfm?id=4631067

On the one hand, this is a very serious incident. If someone has anthrax, and is willing to use it because of something like a court ruling, then they are an immense threat that needs to be found and stopped, immediately, right the hell now. On the other hand one line jumped out at me.

“If this act turns out to be related to Corby, we hope that the Australian people do not make the Indonesian people their enemy,” Natalegawa told Metro TV station.

I am afraid that the Indonesian judges, police and prosecution lawyer; with their lack of care over Schapelle's innocence, celebration of the verdict and telling Australians to 'go to hell', have already done that.

Yeah, with them saying and doing the things they have been the situation will only grow worse, not better.

Alright.....this is going nuts....20 years imprisonment isn't a weird thing here, those who stole a chicken here wil lahve 7 years of imprisonment, those who used drugs will have 15 years of imprisonment, those who abuse child will have eternal imprisonment, and those who bring drugs to our country should have more than 20 years of imprisonment. I don't know if she's wrong or not, but please respect our law, you like or not.

Plus, ANTHRAX :evil::evil::evil::evil::evil::evil::evil::evil::evil::evil::evil::evil::evil::evil::evil::evil::evil::evil::evil::evil::evil::evil::evil::evil::evil::evil::evil::evil::evil::evil::evil::evil::evil::evil::evil::evil::evil::evil::evil: AT OUR EMBASSY :evil::evil::evil::evil::evil::evil::evil::evil::evil::evil::evil::evil::evil::evil::evil::evil::evil::evil::evil::evil::evil::evil::evil::evil::evil: FROM THE AUSTRALIAN :evil::evil::evil::evil::evil::evil::evil::evil::evil::evil::evil::evil::evil::evil::evil::evil::evil::evil::evil::evil::evil::evil::evil::evil::evil:

What the hell an antrhax for????? Now I I know where the Al-Qaeda is hiding  Hell, you guys take it too much. This Australian resistance is bigger than the East Timor problem, and you know the difference between East Timor and Corby. The tragedy of East Timor have heavely affected both side negatively, the East Timor is suffering from famine and Indonesia have lost on of it's island which we have done many sacrifice to take it from the Dutch colonist. And the Australian is laughing at us.......how shamefull......

And...it's not just you who have problem like the damn Corby case, many of our women are humiliated in many countries, including Australia. Hell....we tried to be patience, but you guys can't even hold your patience.

I never thought this case will grow this big. Please Australian.....respect the law.

I am afraid that the Indonesian judges, police and prosecution lawyer; with their lack of care over Schapelle's innocence, celebration of the verdict and telling Australians to 'go to hell', have already done that.

Eventough our police are quite weak, but don't disrespect us and underestimate us. You guys thinks you're the best huh? NO

And....I read a post in an Australian about the drugs circulation in Indonesia which said that the drugs in Indonesia are not from outside the country but from the inside. That statement is not 100% correct. Some of the drugs were produced here but that's only few of them, while the others comes from other countries, mainly from the Golden Triangle area.

So what are you trying to say here exactly? That Australians should go to hell? That the best of everything is Indonesian? You go from claiming to be morally superior to frothing at the mouth with hatred for foreigners. Please, take a chill pill and explain your position again, seriously.

Think about it from another point of view, J_Fire. If the situation was reversed, i.e. It was some indonesian chick who had the drugs planted (I say planted because that's what I believed happened, no disrespect to Indonesia personally) on her and went to Australia, and this had happened to her, what do you think the Indonesian people would do? I think they'd be up in arms, just like the Australians are with Schapple's case. How do you think her family feels at this moment, man? C'mon, think! It's not hard! I don't believe someone with that much weed on them would go to a country that's known for tough drug laws. It's bloody suicidal, and downright stupid to do something. I think like any other logical reasoning person that she was just a victim of someone. Hell, it could've been an Australian who planted the drugs! A customs officer, perhaps? I dunno.

Let's just calm down and sit it out, shall we?

And believe it or not, I am not debating whether she is innocent or guilty, or even that she should face the death penalty if she was smuggling drugs. What I am saying here is that is it any wonder there is anger over the case when you look at what happened? Yes I know the hard and fast rule in countries such as Indonesia is guilty until proven innocent and severity for those who resist. But how would the Indonesians like it if one of their own was arrested on suspecion of people smuggling, and the courts believe they are faking the sickness that is brought on by the stress and anguish the accused is going through the accused makes a tearful plea that falls on deaf ears, Indonesian translation of the verdict is denied, the accused is found guilty because they are unable to proove their innocence from prison, the police cheer the decision and the prosecution lawyer tells Indonesians to go to hell? I doubt anyone would not be outraged.

Thats how they do things... Its not your country its theirs. If thats how they do it then thats that. You can't do anything about it.

Sure you can protest and moan and groan but in the end it doesn't accomplish anything.. If anything it will just annoy the Indonesia's, so when her appeal comes along in 18 months they sure as hell aren't going to let her get off...

Well someone has to do it... Better something than nothing...

I know, which is why some believe Indonesia to be a dangerous country, because the appearence is that in the courts the defence has no defence. Of course China fares little better...

If anything it would be the anthrax scare that would send Indonesia into a tizzy, rightfully so. Might even add terrorism to the list of charges, but maybe leave that one.

Yes well in places like that you try harder not to break any of the laws and what not... Like in Singapore they can fine you up to $1000 dollars just for littering... Certain places it best not to test the law... :?

How pathetic. I rarely see cases like corby happened in my nation, but we have experienced even worser experience, and it still continues until now. Our wemen who haven been working in many foreign countries, most of them, were humiliated by their master, they have not paid by them, but they keep humiliating them, and when the their problem has been known by our government, we have requested them to punish the house owners who humiliate our wemen, but they did nothing. And you ofcourse know the feeling of their family when they see their daughter suffered from heavy violence, and some of them can't hold their mind anymore, they became crazy. AND THAT'S worser than 20 years of unguilty imprisonment. ANd we have hundreds cases like that, with no punishment. Still, we respect their law, and we respect their police and judge.

Besides GeneralLeang, stress thinggies are too common in the Indonesian court, they use such fake sickness and stress to be freed from punishment. And we had enough of such reason, that kind of reasons are commonly used by criminals here, because they know our court weakness, but they don't know that our court has been awaken to refuse such reason.

That Australians should go to hell?

No.....I was about to remind you what kind of interferance you have done to my country since our independance day.

That the best of everything is Indonesian?

One simple word' date=' no

My country has been insulted too much since our independence day, by the dutch, the british, the american, and the australian. And I had enough hearing the west bashing my country, and many more countries in the pasific rim. Now I know why most people in the Pacific Asia hate the west.

You may think that we are weak, but even the weak can beat the strong. I'm not scared by ahh-the-all-mighty-west. I don't care even if you want to nuke us, sabotage us, spy us, destroy us, humiliating us, and many other freakin things. If you do so to my country, and to my fellow Asian, especially those who have been made shame by the west, I will rise my arm against you.

Well.....I think this is enough. I wish to discuss about this no more. Please respect us, I don't want that all the relationships I have made here broken just because of this discussion. I'm sorry for my previous word. Please, this is enough. My country is in critical situation at the moment. And I don't want this country to suffer anymore.[/quote']

Imagine the fear in those places.

And they should be punished. No one is saying otherwise. The same as Schapelle Corby should be punished if she was smuggling drugs.

And you ofcourse know the feeling of their family when they see their daughter suffered from heavy violence, and some of them can't hold their mind anymore, they became crazy.

You assume an awful lot by guessing I know what it is like. I can imagine, but thankfully I had not had to experiance it.

AND THAT'S worser than 20 years of unguilty imprisonment. ANd we have hundreds cases like that, with no punishment. Still, we respect their law, and we respect their police and judge.

I agree, but not if she is innocent, which is not what I am talking about. It is the actions of the judges, the police and the prosecution lawyer. Of course I respect another country's law, except when they do something that is out of hand and inflammatory even for them. It was as if they were getting some payback for the humiliation you discussed below.

Still, the courts have a duty of care to accused criminals, yes even in Indonesia. It is the job of the jury to listen to the accused and make up their own mind over whether or not they are guilty.

No.....I was about to remind you what kind of interferance you have done to my country since our independance day.

My interference? What have I done to interfere with Indonesia? Passed comment on their actions during the court case that they would ignore anyway? Or are you referring to China interfering? Australia has interfered plenty in the case, unsure of what else they have done, and rightfully so. Indonesia would certainly bend over backwards were it one of their own in the same position.

My country has been insulted too much since our independence day, by the dutch, the british, the american, and the australian. And I had enough hearing the west bashing my country, and many more countries in the pasific rim. Now I know why most people in the Pacific Asia hate the west.

So...are you going to keep that reason to yourself, or are you going to share it?

You may think that we are weak, but even the weak can beat the strong. I'm not scared by ahh-the-all-mighty-west. I don't care even if you want to nuke us, sabotage us, spy us, destroy us, humiliating us, and many other freakin things. If I may, I would like to direct your attention to the name and avater I had chosen for this forum. Why do you think I had chosen this one? Why do you think I prefer China over USA? You come here full of piss and vinigar about having respect for the East when you are in fact preaching to the choir. It is only those who martyr themselves against others just because they are not of their race, when those people they set off to kill had not done anything to harm them, that I have no respect for. I am sure that the Indonesian judges are professionals, as are the police and lawyers. When they act the way they have acted however I understand the outrage the Australians feel.

Well, that is my piece said on the matter. Reply to it or ignore it as you will.

China is main Eastern Power..... and it does not feel threatened by teh west. It has much power and leverage.....

btw, the main point here is that she 's being jailed without fully being able to prove her innonence and recieving a very harsh sentence for it too.

Thats why Indonesian courts is cr*p and more cr*p, cause they assume guilty until proven innocent

the anthraz was unneccesesary, but thats just how some people like to show their feelings
