About new unit's

I've recently started using tibed editor to make game mods. Ive tried over and over to figure this out, but, when you create a new unit, (or if you get like the monkey or something), is there any way to create a new image to put on the build bar at the right of the screen, so you can see like a picture of what it is instead of "missing Cameo"?

 

If not, is there any way to steal the picture from another cnc game such as the medic from RA1 to add to YR or RA2?

This can't be done with TibEd. You need an image editor like Paint Shop Pro (Paint CANNOT DO THIS) to make a proper cameo.

now, what do you save it as? Do you save it in the tibed folder, or the ra2 folder?

You need to save it as a PCX file as such: uniticon 0000.pcx or unituico 0000.pcx for veteran. You need the cameo palette usable for PSP/PS and you need the XCC Mixer to extract the proper palette and to convert the PCX image to SHP (TS).

and yes you can still cameos from other games... but they won't be too good, and the icon sizes might be off

i have already succesfully made 2 new units i made a "Thunder Bird"(tesla harrier) and a "Prism Trooper"

You don't really need pointers... just draw the extra barrel. Simple as that.

Use the OS SHP editor...

 

(i am assuming you are using Yuri's Revenge, this should control YR TS TF and RA2)[/url]
