Depends what is meant by a 'United Europe', technically it's the exact same meaning as a 'European Union', which we already do have but eh, in the literal sense, it's not really a Union, more like a Co-operation.

 

One thing Europe DOES have however is a united military force, it's not too big yet but in the future the European Rapid Reaction Force will be quite a force to reckon with.

Im sorry but the british army will never have a foriegn comander or be controled from abroard. The EU was a trade agrement originaly not this damn united states of europe that is happening.

Yes, a trade agreement was the icing on the cake, but the blokes in charge (hmm...now who could that be?) are catchin bigger fish now, and it looks as if the Brits dont like it. I dont like it either, but what can ya do?

 

Personally, this whole EU thing isnt gona work out in my book. And the idiots getting elected to office here in the states wont help matters at all either. The EU isnt at all united when it comes to serious military decisions, what if a nuclear threat arises, or China mobilizes? Will the EU sit around and discuss what to do over a committee? Will the US sit in to try and "help"

 

Mean while the world falls into nuclear wasteland and overrun by terrorist and communist troops in a desperate last effort for control.

Hey, United States isn't all that united either when it comes to serious military decision (which may be a good thing, since it means there is a double checking going on serious decisions).

 

China overrunning Europe... that's some extreme scenario there don't you think? Probably almost as impossible as another civil war happening in US.

The ERRF is not a union of all EU armies, it's a seperate army in itself, each country commits a certain amount of forces to the ERRF.

 

The UK infact, has already committed some ERRF forces.

 

And Cygnus, to tell you the truth the EU was never ment to be united in any way with military matters, all the ERRF is supposed to be is a fast reacting EU wide defence force, which may go into outside EU conflicts for the sake of EU protection (e.g. the Yugoslavian countries).

No the EU is stupid you have all these rusian fringe countrys joining and expecting money and the same amount of power as the big 3 (england, Germany and France) that is the stupid part.
