Like beyond repairable... This economy is bad, and we got stupid president... but it's nothing a shopping spree, and new election won't fix. Clinton did stupid things too, not as bad as Dubya but...point is... The End is not near... In the sixties they were barking the same end of the world crap they are now, even 250 years ago when country was first formed... there were people crying, "The End is Nigh"... WAKE UP CALL... They were fighting the comunist north koreans who invaded south korea. In a war vs the chinese and the americans. The chinese would own the air rendering any attepted invasion imposible. The southern part fell into the lap of America, who then returned power to it's people and democracy was born in South Korea... It wasn't until South Korean President Syngman Rhee and Kim Il-sung started bumping heads... believing they alone could unify Korea under their own damn terms... In short they ran to their mommies... Kim Il-sung convinced Stalin that Korea was worth fighting for... and Syngman Rhee convinced America, Korea was worth protecting... The Korean War was the cold war fought on "Korean" ground... America and the UN (Canada, Australia, and the United Kingdom all under the UN banner) under the flag of support.... aided S Korea... China and Russia came to the rescue of their child N Korea... June 25, 1950 North Korea moved across the 38th parallel, MacArthur order a retreat for all the civilains in area... During that time President Truman ordered that no direct force to be used on North Korea for fear the big soviet powers would come jumping in. Instead task forces were used, and they used the minimum in support... with our right lil hand tied behind our back By the end of the war... no one won... It was a stale mate and it was then the Truman Doctrine (declaring the war on communist everywhere it tried to grow) came to be.... because Truman was thought to have been a wimp handling commies... And that where you got your whole domino effect fear thing from the text books... One nation falls to the reds... the surrounding area does to... We were out gunned, had trouble with mobility, and fought with one hand tied behind our backs... same with soviets because they feared our nukes. Bad news I am reading with China too, China wants Taiwan to join China because Taiwan was China territory but broke away and stuff to be democratic and now China and them are butting heads. So what does this mean? Ahh! Yes! Of course we offer are support to them if China invades, and China says if we help interfere if they invade Taiwan then they will declare war on the U.S. Now then, its sounds okay since both countries have a "No Launching A Nuclear Missile First" thing. Well bad thing is.... a couple of Chinese generals want to change that and are starting to gain support.... so, eventually, I bet it will become war with China because we will incourage Taiwan not to join China and they'll invade, then all out war and crap and if those general's get their way.... We better hope the "Star Wars" program is real! Reading about airforces, the U.S. has the most equiped and largest airforce in the world, we have the best equipment for our planes and all that jazz, and besides, we got the B-12 baby(Stealth Bomber Duh)! It would be foolish for either nation to declare war on the other. Not only will a war with China ruin a whole lotta hardware and lives, itll make CHina adn the US prime targets for terrorism. Not good. And no one really wants a war with China, or the US, for that matter. Too much firepower involved. As messed up as the planet is right now, we like it just fine. Acerz492 1 Posted August 10, 2005 Hrm...I was actually starting an article on this whole thing, making comparisons to Zero Hour. Do you guys mind if I use this information to help me with my article? I'll give all you guys the proper credit, of course. Personally? If a war did come between China and the USA, What side will the ANZACs (Australia and New Zealand Army Corp) stand on? It's old WWI and WWII allies and the UN? Or it's new trading partner, China? Hell, if it wasn't for the fact that there was so much trade going between our countries, we'd (Especially New Zealand) probably collapse economically. China dosen't represent any threat to the world as it is now, but ya never know, in a few decades time, something could happen.. I'm kind of scared, too be perfectly honest. Because lil ol' me is gunna be fighting in a war, if there is one, and I don't want to have to make that kind of decision. Just thinking about it sends shivers up my spine. EDIT: Okay, I realise now that I probably haven't made much sense at all, so can someone steer me back on track a little bit? :lol: H-Bomb Hehe, again, personally, I don't like the term 'H-Bomb'.
