About that patch...

so that patch that lets you play on XP, well, even after the guide i still had to use it, not really sure why but if someone could help me out that'd be great, but besides that, the patch doesn't disable internet play right? just lan?

Right click on the game icon and select properties > compataiblity >then run this program in >98/Me

No. Just LAN.
