How do you make words come up automatically at the top left of the screen for a multiplayer map?

Load up FA2, Click on Edit, Trigger editor, Click on New trigger. Name that Trigger anything you want. We can use something like "gamestart"

 

Now click on Events and click on new event. Click on event type number 8 "Any Event" or you may choose 13 "Elapsed Time" and fill in the Parameter value for the delay which 15 seconds equals 1 second of real time.

 

Now click on Actions and click on new action. The action type will be 11 Text Trigger. The Paramerter value will be the script or text across the screen. In this case, type "M" and scroll down until you find "MISSION:ALL01q : --Battle Control Online--" or just type/cut/paste it. Nevermind the country and repeat tags that are also shown on that menu screen for now.

 

Save the changes and load up the game. Now that map should start off with the text --Battle Control Online-- for all players.

 

Some have EVA's voice and you can use that as well. Just add a new action and put 21 "Play speech." In the parameter value "EVA_BattlefieldControlOnline" is needed. Now the text and voice will seen and heard when the game starts.

 

Now knowing the little things like this, you should try a couple of the triggers on your own and not have too much problems with what you want to be in that map.

I have been working with triggers for a while (to do reinforcements and such), but I never really realized how to put text in...
