I switched from XP professional to XP home edition, because I couldn't get RA2 to work. Yuri's revenge did.

 

NOW, after switching, ra2 works like a charm. But guess what? Now when I try to install YR, it says for every single percentile, "cannot read from gamemd.exe" or something like that

 

...now what?

Your CD might be dirty and the comp can't read the data off the CD.

I'll check, but the day before I posted this, I was still playing Yuri's Revenge... and it worked fine...

Why would you go from Pro to Home, Pro has like 10x more usefull options.

 

You need to be running RA2 in windows98 compatibility, thats what it took to get it to run on my computer.

 

You probably need to clean your CD, after that coppy the contents to hte hard drive.
