That is true... movies can be better than some books, but most quality novels aren't done justice. The medium of the 2 hour movie is just too limited for it.

which they did a fantastic job with, BTW. Only skippedo ut on 2 parts of the books, Tom Bombadil and the Taking over of the Shire by Saurumon.

 

Still, very very cool and well made movies.

Sorry but I just hate to read, so its movie first, and if I feel the movie was interesting, I will read the book... Somewhat read it I mean...

 

I just ain't the type of guy to go to Barnes and Noble or something and pay for text.

 

Or even a library for free.

Local library has terrible selection. I like to just buy it (with gift cards, of course :wink: ) and read it on my own time.

 

Im getting quite a collection of material over here. Everythign from R.A. Salvator to JRR Tolkien to CS Lewis to EE Knight and a million more.
