How do u put mods into a map using final alert 2 and TibEd??

Do not, and I repeat, DO NOT, use TibEd or FA2 for ANY coding at all. Neither are very good and both are incredibly sloppy.

Open your map in WordPad and do your editing manually.

Search button can help in such questions as this. Please use it before asking. Even if it's not a common question. You can gain much info from other threads. But I had some time...

Note:

Make sure the file is being saved as a YRM (Yuri Revenge Multiplayer Map) file. Also, try not to have a large map file. I used to have some issues back in the days on this. One simple solution was to add a new item from YR onto the map so it would save right (A new civilian building for instance). Even though the changes had to do with YR. FA2 for some reason would save it as a RA2 file instead.

Some of the general rules cannot be altered in the map transfer. If you happen to changed some you might need to exchange those rules with the other player as well via E-mail.

Let me get this right. You have a INI file but you cannot save it as one? This just tells me it's not a INI document to begin with.

If it is a INI.file save as is. Load up FA2. Load up your map. Click on Edit. Click on INI Editor. Locate your INI file and click on it. Save map. Play and check out the changes.

If you think your doing everything right there can be three reasons why this is not working.

1. RA2 may have a file corrupted. Reinstall the game.

2. FA2 may need to be Reinstalled.

3. INI.file might be something else like a notepad file. If it is, it won't appear in the list.

If none of this is working then your out of luck. Only other way around all of this is to place a INI.Rules file in your RA2 directory. Though the changes you make will only effect you and no one else. Unless they have the file as well.

I guess you could attach Oil Derrick logic on each construction yard if you really wanted to. Look around in old threads and I'm sure that's been answered 6500 times.

Depends on what you mean by "categories." If you mean id arrays, like [VehicleTypes], then no. If you mean the unit section, not really.

Say you wanted to make the Grizzly Tank faster and more armored, all you have to add is;-

[MTNK]

Strength=600

Speed=11

That's just an example though. I don't recommend actually doing that.
