See, I'm going to pretend not to have heard that...

 

Manson is way better than the Emo/Pop/wanna-be rock out there.

 

Manson writes his own songs and dabbles it with dark melody... and he was a close friend of Anton LaVey (the black pope)

 

Other wanna-be dark singers out there are really soft whineybabes, and hire people to write their music... then pretend to be dark rock.

If you for some reason like to dwell on darkness, despair, and that sort of thing, fine, whatever.... but don't try to legitimize music with it :roll:

 

Also, you assumed that I was defending the whiny, pop "dark" rockers. When did I ever say I even liked them? :? I can't stand them, for the most part, especially if they don't write their own music. But the fact remains... Marylin Manson sucks.

Yeah... China should sound pretty imperialistic and awe-inspiring. How about some Russian classical? There's some pretty dark, ominous stuff there that would fit the bill well. Also, there's that classic "O Fortuna" by Carl Orff that could sound incredible.
