Try reinstalling the game and try opening these ports if you have a router. (Make sure you have exceptions on your firewall as well)

TCP ports:

80, 6667, 28910, 29900, 29920

UDP ports:

4321, 27900

Hrmmm if it was Thursday you tried i know the Europ servers went down for around 5 hours...... Theres a Broadband line in the 6th form cafe and i pluged me laptop into it, i can play during lunch frees

If TSBOs tips dont work try making a new account/reinstall game some time sits just one of thoses things. I used to not be able to play ZH online on my other pc till after it had been on for an hour :wtf: never worked out why that happened.

Whats your ZH name? id like to play you sometime.

ahhh ha!!!

Nautons has a bug in it.

Okay this may be a little hard if ur a bit ****e with PCs.

On the little Nautons logo on the toolbar left click and select options.

Go to 'Internet Worm Control'

Select 'Program control'

If theres one for Generals and ZH, Select it and remove it.

Go to 'Add' and find the Generals.exe file (norm in C:Program filesEA GAMESCommand & Conquer Generals Zero Hour)

keep saying either 'permit' or yes untill its done.

That should work.

Otherwise

On the little Nautons logo on the toolbar left click and select options.

Go to 'Internet Worm Control'

click the check box

close the options box

when it says somink about how long you wish to turn the worm protection off say '5 hours' or 'untill system restart' so you dont forget to turn it back on.

The worm protection dosnt stop your pc being attacked by worms it only limits the number of open ports that your computer can open to outside connections.

Can't you just shut it down entirely while you play? I mean McAfee let me do that.

Burn Norton. :)

Yeah you can disable Auto-Protect, but that's not recommended. It'll annoy you about every 5 minutes with a message (meaning your game will be minimized) that you're not protected.

I never have this problem so you should be able to get around it
