CnC95 Covert Ops

No this is not the decade game coll.

Is there a way to install the expansion to CnC the Covert Ops on Windows XP?

and i dont mean the kernel32.dll error problem.

When trying to lauch the setup is says that I must try lauching the setup from the cd-rom, and that what I do, but it doesnt work.

I can easly install CnC the orginal but not the Covert Ops addon

even tryed some unlucky methotds to

Perhaps you should run the stup.exe manually instead of autorun... for the rest I don't know, it worked fine with me.

perhaps I have tryed all *.exe files and *.bat files on the cd.

enven tryed to run all of them in win95 compability

Covert Ops was originally released for C&C DOS. Westwood never re-released it when C&C95 was released. The idea was that you install the old C&C DOS Covert Ops along side your new installation of C&C95 and it will work. However now in the days of Windows XP we have these problems Covert Ops is a DOS appilication, Windows XP doesn't use DOS, there for it doesn't run old DOS apps.

I got a C&C+cov ops in one pack, as a gold edition and it worked fine for me

I know about all of the comability mode and the winxp fix, and I have installed CnC95

As I got The CnC95 Gold edition.

And I can run it fine

But when I try to install the Covert Ops in eany way even in compability mode, a dosbox comes up that says:

Please run setup.exe from cd-rom disc

so I cant get the expansion installed

I have tryed installing the addon with the orginal game unpatched and patched, without and with compability mode on.

But dont bother helping, I have time to whait to Windows Vista gets relesed

You just have to go to the GAME folder on the CO disk and copy sc-000.mix and sc-001.mix to your C&C folder.
