wow... haven't been around here for ages! (talking about that, can someone fix my old account? The email it points to is now defunct so I can't get to it to get my password...). Oh well...

found this interesting tidbit while shopping around:

Not sure whether or not I saw it here,,, anyways, it's an interview with Niel Young (VP and General Manager, EA Los Angeles) in which he talks about CC3 - worth a listen! (This is a 3-part series)

Credit really goes to: http://gamereplays.org/

Hi Oren,

I fixed your old account so it uses the address that you have on this number 2 account. Once you get your password for your original account I will delete this one.

Thanks for the news tip as well :)

I'll repost the comment I made. (minus a typo  )

Sigh..the Tiberium universe is the alternate reality following Red Alert. Yes, when it comes down to gameplay and style, they are separate. However, those few cutscenes in Red Alert cannot be overlooked. C&C does follow.

I hear you Nicko - I completey agree about RA being the predecessor of the Tiberium Series. I think what EA are saying with the seperate universes is that RA2 has split of from the Tiberian series, and may continue to do so, without reference to it anymore.

Not the gospel, but it makes sense.

Nice diagram 8)

I cant say I'm a fan of the RA2/YR story. I just couldn’t take the whole Yuri and phycic thing seriously. And as with Generals, the game was a little too pro-America for my liking. The stories of RA/C&C/TS may be over the top (that’s C&C for ya :)), yet they still retain a somewhat believable atmosphere. That’s what makes them so great.

Ha, thx. Phe4r Teh MSPi4nt Sk1llz0rs!

You're preaching to the choir on the Generals/RA2 thing. Dont get me wrong, they were both great games for gameplay, but storyline and relevance too C&C were lacking in both.
