playing zero hour from behind linksys router

Im having trouble playing multiplayer from behind a router, i followed the little tutorial i found on this site, but it still isnt working.

can anyone offer some tips to play direct connect?

A good test is try hooking your computer directly into the internet to see if you can connect. As long as you keep the exposure brief, you shouldn't have to worry about anything. If you can connect then, the problem lies with the router, if not, the problem lies elsewhere.

 

If it is with the router, try stepping through the guide again - perhaps you missed something. If the problem is not the router, try re-installing DirectX9.0b. If that fails, contact your ISP and explain the problem to them.

it is the router, if i bypass the router it works fine but as soon as i plugin the router then my connection times out
