Flamethrower Infantry. (Help me!)

I have tried to make a flamethrower soldier, but what works in TS doesn't work in RA2/YR. The Fire stream particle system is demented, and things don't show up properly. I have tried making it sonic (always reach max. range) but the dolphin thing shows up. Any Ideas?

The flamethrower code works perfectly in RA2 and YR. You need to supply a new image for the flame stream as the current one is mispaletted and not even a fire stream.

 

However, I don't recommend this method as units will never be promoted thorugh kills, only through crates and infiltration. We have a better method: all it takes is a trailer image and a fire explosion image. All you do is create a normal weapon with a projectile but the projectile image doesn't exist, it's blank. You attach the trailer to the blank projectile and it travels in a line, knida like the RA Flame Tower but it has an arc due to the engine. Units can be promoted and you can avoid the particle systems, which can cause tons of lag.
