Reading this article about the comparison of Catalyst v3.4 to 3.9 at http://www.madshrimps.be/?action=getarticl...amp;articID=104 made me curious:

 What version of Catalyst or other drivers are you using :?:

 Do you upgrade to each new version ASAP or do you stick with a stable version :?:

 Do you use any tweaking software :?:

Personally I'm still running 3.4 which was the first version that allowed me to play Generals without problems :P . Also installed "Rage3D Tweak" ( http://www.rage3d.com/index.php?node=r3dtweak ) for some fine tuning (no overclocking).

I voted for "Other", since I have an NVIDIA card

On the subject of drivers though, there is nothing wrong with using an older version of the drivers if that is what gives you the best performance and/or stable gameplay etc....

You really only need to update your drivers if the game (in this case Generals) fails to run or crashes.

As the old saying goes...."if it ain't broke....don't fix it".

Not neccessarily, upgrading drivers can improve performance. A set of Detonator Drivers awhile back improved my performance by 10 percent - there can be benefits.

Uprading Driver Version from 3.4 to 3.5 resulted in a loss of ~50 points with 3dMark03 :( (next stop probably will be 3.7).

Only enhancement is that I now can run with 8xAGP instead of 4 :?
