travela357 0 Posted June 11, 2006 unable to create direct sound primary buffer in xp for Tiberian Sun. How do i fix this problem? Share this post Link to post
Saracen 16 Posted June 11, 2006 reinstall the latest DirectX drivers, failing that, attempt to install the directX that's already on the disc, that might do something. Share this post Link to post
travela357 0 Posted June 11, 2006 the game plays fine. the sound is just disabled. before the game even starts it gives me the unable to create direct sound primary buffer. i tried to reinstall the directx from the disc and it would not work. Share this post Link to post
Sonic 296 Posted June 11, 2006 Don't install DirectX from the Tiberian Sun discs. Its way to old. Windows XP probably won't let you anyway. Get the most recent release of DirectX from http://www.microsoft.com/windows/directx/default.mspx or update the drivers for your sound card. Also you may need to run Tiberian Sun in compatiblity mode. Share this post Link to post

Saracen 16 Posted June 11, 2006 ok let's get more technical. is your sound working fine with other apps? and do you have on board or a card for your sound? I suggest finding the latest sound drivers for your sound output as well Share this post Link to post
