New Laptop. Suggestions?

I'm about to buy this laptop from dell. Wondering if you have any suggestions.

Dell's Inspirons are good, but if you really want something that can rival a desktop, get a Voodoo Envy, you won't regret it. But they get hot, so you have to choose between a cool-headed performer, or a hot-headed over-achiever. If you live in a cold country, Voodoo's Envy will be worth it, but in a hot country, Inspirons last longer.

I would get a video card that's not Mobility...those don't work with some games (i.e. Generals) :wink:

i would say go for an Alienware Area 51 laptop, it will cover you no matter what, and what about dell and those recent problems :lol:

Aren't those Voodoos and Alienwares expensive as hell?

 

Tree, nice laptop there for $1000...

You can get maybe half of it in Estonia for 1K... :(

Well, you can get a nice desktop for around $2,500 if you take parts from everywhere cheapest (price) :wink:

Are you kidding? You can get a nice desktop for $1000. Dual core dual processor, at least a gig of ram, and a 512MB vid card easy for $1000.
